We will never forget that day!

When the earthquake hit Chile, my family and I were in Santiago. We were woken up by a loud noise in the middle of the night. The reaction was quick: "Take Arina, I'll take Niko"! After a while we were outside. I do not remember how we got there.
There was a full moon. We could get some radio signals in our car. It was the moment we realized what had happened. We were trying to contact our relatives and friends but had no cell phone signal for several hours. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity we did it. They were fine.
Unlike many people, we had all basic services: lights, gas...
I tend to think that we were lucky. However, we started to think in a different way. Quite independently, we all arrived at the same conclusion about the value of life...

Below you will find two links where witnesses describe earthquake terror.
